Live status for your own tools

Websockets for live status monitoring
  • A new WebSocket feed tells you the moment a broadcast starts or stops, with no polling.
  • No API key needed: use the CaptionKit ID from your Account page, and "default" for your main room.
  • Each message says whether you're live, along with the spoken language and the translations running.
  • While you're live, the status refreshes every 30 seconds.
  • Send "ping" at least once a minute to keep the connection open.

  • Prefer polling? Request the same address over https:// for the current status as JSON.
